Hi.
Fireshot doesn't work in chrome 37.0.2062.58 m (64-bit).
It does nothing when i click on any item in the FireShot menu.
I tried to remove and then add FireShot again, but it doesnt help.

FireShot: 0.98.53
OS: Windows 7 Professional SP1 x64, czech
Browser: Chrome 37.0.2062.58 m (64-bit)
Steps to reproduce: try to make some screenshot (doesnt matter, what type)
URL: all pages

edit: I tried Screenshot Studio and it works ok.

Bump. I am experiencing this exact same problem. It seems to do everything normally, EXCEPT there is no save dialog. For example if I try "Capture Selection" it will bring up the marquee tool just as it used to. If I try "Capture Entire Page" it will auto-scroll the page as if it's capturing. But after that it does nothing. There is no Save dialog window if I try to Save. There is no Edit window if I opted to Edit. No save PDF dialog. No email. Nothing.

I also tried to uninstall the extension and re-install and it didn't fix it. I also tried running it in Incognito mode as the ONLY extension installed to make sure it wasn't a collision with other extensions. Still broken.

Also worth noting. Clicking 'About' in the Extension menu, doesn't do anything.

Plugin version 0.98.53
OS Win 7, English
Chrome Version 37.0.2062.94 (64-bit)
URL: All. Tried Yahoo, IBM, Google and more

Bump. Any update on a release for a fix...this could not have happened at a worse time for me. In the middle of a project where fireshot is extremely needed for productivity

Yep, working hard right now. Can I suggest installing a portable 32-bit version of Chrome to use with FireShot just as a temporary solution?

I don't want to sound obnoxious, but the 64bit beta has been out for a long time. None of the other commercial apps we use in Chrome crashed. They all had prepared themselves for this. We really love the product and invested in a license to help ensure continued support and development and this is honestly quite disappointing

I didn't know what NPAPI was, so I looked it up, and found this story about Google and NPAPI.

In a nutshell: in September 2013, Google announced that NPAPI support in Chrome would be phased out during 2014 because "NPAPI’s 90s-era architecture has become a leading cause of hangs, crashes, security incidents, and code complexity."

Interesting.
