Appreciate any help on my problem where FireShot Pro (lifetime license) now fails to work in either Chrome or Edge browsers with the same "Failed to load SSSx64.dll. Possibly reinstall should help" error message after multiple removals and reinstallation attempts.
Plugin Version: FireShot Pro v2.1.4 OS Type and Version: Windows 11 Home (64-bit); Version 25H2; OS build 26200.8894 Chrome Browser: Version 150.0.7871.129 (Official Build) (64-bit) Edge Browser: Version 150.0.4078.83 (Official build) (64-bit) Steps to Reproduce the Bug: The same exact error message "Failed to load SSSx64.dll. Possibly reinstall should help" in Chrome and Edge Browsers after repeated removals and reinstallations. Searching FireShot Premium Support Forum: On 11/11/2024, one user had the same exact error message although in a different computer environment using Windows 7 OS and much older FireShot v1.11.25. That user's concern was whether reinstalling FireShot would lose the captures saved for later reference. A supposed administrator responded saying to use the FireShot menu to "Install advanced features" to reinstall Pro features while my only advanced option is "Switch to Pro" that doesn't do anything. Note: Had successfully used FireShot Pro since purchasing a lifetime license on 12/20/2021 primarily in my default Chrome browser although it no longer works in Chrome or Edge. |
