Feasibility of Automation with Fireshot API

Hi, I have been using Fireshot Extension and recently found it offered a set of Javascript API.

I'm willing to automate the following capturing procedure.
- Open certain webpage
- Capture the selected area of the webpage by holding Ctrl
- Save the captured webpage to searchable PDF with the pre-defined naming pattern in a specific  location

I have checked the demos provided but found my requirements are not included yet such as save to PDF.

My question: Is it viable to automate my procedure with the Fireshot API?
