Firstly - is there no way we can SEARCH existing bug reports in this forum?
Secondly - I have a Pro licence, but cannot use the Capture->Email functions. Fireshot does not fire up an email/message window in Thunderbird (my default email client). I can't see a way of specifying/checking email clients in OPTIONS. Help!! Win7x64 : FF 10.02 : FShot 0.96 : TB 10.02 Adam. |

Hello, the bug tracker is not available, sorry. Are you using a portable version of Thunderbird or standalone?
Did you properly specified Thunderbird as your email client in Control Panel -> Default programs ? __________________ FireShot Pro Pro Full Webpage Screenshots will be moving to a subscription model soon!

Hi JK - thanks for the response
Most forum applications allow you to search threads/topics/posts. I'd be surprised if SEO-Board couldn't. Maybe the option hasn't been enabled? Anyway - back to the original problem ... Good idea about the default email client. I rechecked that it was set up as default - but no go, I'm afraid. I get the pop-up window (where you can select the image type etc.), but it just closes and that's it. Thinking back to a good few months ago, I think it *was* working ... but then my Pro "trial" period expired. I've not really needed the email function much until now, hence the my payment. Maybe it's something to do with my old expiration? I've already removed/re-installed the latest version of Fireshot, but no luck. Is there something maybe in the registry that needs to be cleared (or even set)? Adam. |

Just to add to the above ... I installed the IE version (following the link from within Firefox). It appears to install/work OK - albeit it's the free version - but the same problem occurs.
To answer the previous question ... it's the full/standalone version of Thunderbird, and "mailto:" links from within web pages work fine. Using the "send to external editor" works fine as well (Photoshop in my case). |

BUMPing this topic ...
I've completely removed/reinstalled Fireshot and still cannot get it to open up an email message in Thunderbird when using the "capture and .. email" option. I get the .png save dialog box then OK'ing that gives nothing. Thunderbird is set on my system as the default email client. O/S : Win7 x64 Fireshot : 0.98.12 Firefox : 13.0.1 Thunderbird : 13.0.1 This problem has been going for months now. |

Unfortunately, I do not have the solution for this problem. Any other email clients work just fine, but not Thunderbird. __________________ FireShot Pro Pro Full Webpage Screenshots will be moving to a subscription model soon!
