Returning to older image wont allow to edit previously added shapes

Since today (16.02.2026) when going back to edit older images i have edited previously, i cannot edit already added shapes (like boxes, text, arrows, numbers). Shapes are unclickable, like part of the image now. It was working fine last thursday, but returning to my work today, it doesnt work. every day i need to go back to not only the last image i edited (with resume editing option), but also to images way back, using miscellanious + open file. Resume editing works, but going back to older images, does not work anymore.
* MS Windows 11 Enterprise v. 10.0.26100 build 26100
* Fireshot Pro for Chrome v.2.1.4.7 (64-bit)
* Google Chrome v. 145.0.7632.76 (Official Build) (64-bit)
* steps: edit an image (add boxes with arrows, numbers etc.) save work. open the file using Miscellanious + open file from the drop-down menu (not "resume editing"). the shapes you added are non editable.

Please make sure that captures are saved as PNG with the option to preserve shapes enabled.

Hi . Thanks. I have no clue what happened, because it saved into PNG, always. I now used Advanced save, where the pop-up window opened with save options, and there was jpeg instead. I have never had such problem in my 3 years of using the pro version, creating screen captures with added shapes every day and always able to come back to edit them.
PS. in the options, there is no place where these choices (png, jpeg etc) can be made. Or is there?

You're welcome. It looks like some of the dialogs are hidden, so you don't see them. Next time you save, please press SHIFT and keep it pressed until you see the "Save As" dialog where you can specify the format of the output document.
