Hello, I see the two posts about the same thing having happened for Firefox. Is anyone experiencing this with Chrome? I have Chrome Version 106.0.5249.119 (Official Build) (64-bit) with Fireshot Lite 1.10.5.
Even having Chrome setup to open a specific page of https://www.google.ca, the extra tab opens each and every time Chrome is. Thanks. |

Hello. Actually, this is a problem of a browser's profile, not FireShot. The profile seems to be corrupted, so it cannot store preferences, including the option flagging that there's no need to show the "Installed" page anymore.

Thanks JK, the issue has been solved. Wouldn't have thought the Chrome profile since it really gave me no indication that there was a problem. I ended up doing Method 1 & Method 3 from the URL below to create a new profile and so far I've opened the browser 3 times and the "What's New" page hasn't come back. The webpage I used was Methods to create new Chrome Profile. It looks like all my bookmarks and addons came back just fine as well.
