Frequent Crashes in Thunderbird

Question

Hi! I've been using FireShot for about a week - just registered for the full version - and it's a great product. But the plug-in seems to cause my browser to crash frequently.

Plugin version: 98.95.2
OS type and version: Windows 7 Professional SP1, English
Version of browser: Thunderbird 28.6.1 (32-bit)
Webpage URL: (mainly, but not limited to) https://www.supermegamonkey.net/chronocomic/

I have the default action set to Capture Selection/Element and Edit. It is also set to resize the capture to 230 px; Do Not Enlarge.

No errors appear in the console (F12).

It seems like I can use the plug-in for a while, and then it will crash once, and then once it crashes is starts to crash more frequently. My browser doesn't crash when browsing normally. I can't figure out a pattern to the crash - sometimes it happens while taking a screenshot. Sometimes while I'm in the editor. Sometimes while saving.

I know this is difficult to troubleshoot; let me know what other information I can provide.

(I'm also running into two other minor issues. One with the autoresizing, which seems to fail to work about 10% of the time. And one where the Save As pop-up won't re-appear after I've started to Save As and then hit Cancel. I have to close the editor and take a new screenshot to get things working again. But these problems are just small nuisances; I only mention in case it helps with troubleshooting the crash.)

Thank you for your report. I have 2 questions: 1. Are you sure you're using Thunderbird? This is an email client, but you're capturing web pages. 2. Can you please update to the latest 0.98.96 version? https://getfireshot.com/fireshot-install.exe
