I want to know if it is free software https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_software. I cannot find any licensing details on the firescrot web page.

You mean FireShot?

Yes, it's absolutely FREE. You may use it as you wish.

Yes, Fireshot is what I meant. What I want to know is do I have the right to use and modify the programming code? do I have the right share the code and software with other people? Do I have the right to publish any modifications to this computer program? If I lack any of these liberties with this software, I cannot call this software as free software and I must call it non-free. I do not allow any non-free software on my computer and for this reason, I want to know if this software is free software as opposed to non-free gratis software. https://www.gnu.org/philosophy/free-sw.html

You may perform any modifications, but there should be information about the authours of initial version. Unfortunately, the work under source code tidying-up haven't done yet, so there are no headers with license and authoring information.

Ok, thanks for clearing that up - Fireshot is currently non-free software as there is no source code. This may or may not change later. Could you please update this website to refer to the licensing terms of this program? For those of us who care about free software, the licensing terms of the computer program is the first thing to look out for after learning out about what the program does.
